I provide friendly and efficient legal services including wills, probate, lasting powers of attorney, court of protections applications, setting up trusts, inheritance tax planning, and property transfers. I’m able to provide a personal service at a time and place that suits you, and I will work at your pace. Usually I’ll work with you on a one to one basis, but if further help and support is needed it’s there from Austen-Jones Solicitors or others who work alongside me.
I offer consultations by phone, email, Skype or home visits across South London, North Kent and Surrey including Dulwich, Camberwell, Peckham, Greenwich, Beckenham, Bromley, Sydenham, Forest Hill, Streatham, Croydon, Sutton, Cheam and Banstead. I appreciate how difficult it is for some people to get to a solicitor’s office during working hours so I can offer telephone contact and home visits outside these times.
Always positive, I listen to what you have to say to understand your requirements, and then give clear step-by-step guidance and keep you in the picture. My job is to make life easier for you, not to bombard you with legal jargon but to use plain English to explain what needs to be done and how best to do it.
Doing things efficiently is paramount. Typically, I will have a draft Will sent out within two working days and for Grant only services, the probate papers within seven days.
Keeping prices affordable is important so in probate matters I will work alongside you to do as little or as much as you want. I can take the matter off your hands entirely to make things totally stress-free for you, or limit my role to legal drafting and preparing inheritance tax accounts to keep costs down. All prices for services are fixed at the outset and published on this site so you know exactly what you’ll pay.
I’ve got 15 years’ experience of meeting and helping clients with their legal needs. My last role prior to joining Austen Jones solicitors was as Head of Private Client with a firm in Surrey. Before becoming a solicitor, I worked as a researcher and lecturer for 15 years in the NHS and the university sector. I’ve also been a carer, so appreciate the difficulties faced by older people and their carers.
